Back in 1981, we set out on our mission to create better fasteners. We developed our light holders and other fasteners, focusing not only on improving value and quality, but on the safety of our customers and their property. It became an integral part of the Adams Philosophy.
“First, Do No Harm”
Hippocrates wrote these words in ancient Greece. They remain in the physician’s oath today. I felt these words should not be limited to the medical profession. “First, Do No Harm” was to be the foundation of our products and our practices.
It all started with suction cups. We discovered that a suction cup could work like a magnifying glass, concentrating bright sunlight into damaging beams, potentially scorching interior surfaces. In response, we invented our patented “light diffusing rings” that guarantee our suction cups will “do no harm”.
We constantly ask “What happens if . . .?” every time we create a new product. We endlessly re-evaluate our products to make sure that they are always better designed, more durable, and that they will, above all, “do no harm”. This guiding philosophy has been applied to everything Adams does, especially customer service. We ship our products accurately and on time and won’t “harm” or hinder our customers’ ability to do business.
From light clips that hold hot Christmas lights away from vinyl siding, to smooth plastic ornament hangers that won’t cut into bare feet on Christmas morning, Adams will always be the company that chooses to “First, Do No Harm”.
We Ask What If…?
There’s always the usual questions: What value will it offer the customer? What would be the most appealing and space-saving way to merchandise it? But at Adams, we ask “What if?” What if the customer wants to change the way they hang a wreath? What if they want to put clips on an old slate roof? What if their old house has settled and the doors aren’t quite square anymore?
Adams firmly believes that to make a quality consumer product we must anticipate potential problems and offer solutions. Each new product is evaluated for its’ safety and overall ease of use. We don’t want a product that could potentially damage our homes, and we offer nothing less than the best, and safest possible product to our customers.
